Propane Truck Bodies

JOMAC propane truck bodies are built from firsthand industry experience. Before founding JOMAC, Rich Jones worked in the propane industry himself, setting tanks, installing regulators, digging ditches, and handling service calls. That field experience helped shape a better approach to propane service trucks, with safer access, smarter storage, more efficient workflows, and equipment designed specifically around the work propane professionals perform every day.

Powerfully Light. Designed for the Propane Industry.

Propane work is unique. Safety, balance, and reliability are non-negotiable.

JOMAC was the first to produce an aluminum propane service body line, and that experience shows in every detail. Our propane bodies are designed to safely transport and install:

On a standard 12-foot propane truck body, JOMAC can accommodate either a single 1,000-gallon tank or two 500-gallon tanks side by side, with proper weight distribution and minimal rear overhang.

Tank-Setting Season Is Here. Is Your Fleet Ready?

As propane and LP Gas dealers enter peak tank-setting season, trucks and equipment are working harder every day. It’s also when aging equipment, limited capacity, and fleet gaps can quickly become apparent.

If your operation needs another truck to keep up with tank installations and service calls, JOMAC can help. Our aluminum propane truck bodies are purpose-built for LP Gas applications, with configurations designed for safe tank handling, crane integration, organized storage, and demanding field work.

Whether you’re replacing an aging propane truck or expanding a growing delivery and service fleet, JOMAC can build a solution around the way your team works.

The Difference Is in the Construction

What separates JOMAC propane truck bodies from others is how they are built.

Unlike manufacturers that assemble cabinet “packs” as a single unit, JOMAC builds each cabinet individually, welds them together, and then wraps the sides and top with aluminum diamond plate. This creates double thickness between cabinet walls and backs, significantly increasing strength, durability, and service life.

Key construction details include:

This approach allows JOMAC to offer the industry’s only lifetime structural warranty.

Customizable to Match How You Work

While standard propane configurations are available, JOMAC propane truck bodies can be customized to match your exact workflow and fleet standards. Options include:

JOMAC’s propane layouts grew out of real service work. Dedicated organization for regulators, pigtails, fittings, repair parts, tools, and service equipment helps technicians keep commonly used items within reach. Deep underbody storage adds capacity without sacrificing valuable deck space, helping crews carry more of what they need and make fewer trips back to the shop.

Crane-Ready and Safety-Focused by Design

Propane service presents unique safety challenges, from accessing the truck bed in wet or icy conditions to handling tanks and operating lifting equipment. JOMAC designs the entire truck around those real-world demands.

Safety-focused features and options include:

JOMAC also works directly with fleet, safety, and procurement teams to incorporate application-specific requirements into the body design rather than relying solely on aftermarket additions.

A Safer Approach to Propane Evacuation

JOMAC developed the JOVAC Hydraulic Motor-Driven Evacuation Pump after recognizing the drawbacks of relying on gasoline-powered pumps around propane operations. Powered hydraulically through the truck’s PTO system, the JOVAC eliminates the separate gasoline engine while providing dependable evacuation capability directly from the truck.

It’s another example of how JOMAC turns firsthand propane experience into practical improvements in safety, reliability, and field performance.
