JOMAC mechanics truck bodies are constructed from military-grade 5000 and 6000 series aluminum, delivering maximum strength at a fraction of the weight of steel. The result is a body that increases payload capacity, reduces long-term maintenance, and stands up to years of hard use without rusting or fatigue
Every body is mounted to a full-length steel subframe that isolates crane and outrigger stress away from the aluminum structure, preserving integrity over the life of the truck.

What sets JOMAC apart is how the body is built.
Unlike manufacturers that assemble cabinet “packs” as a single unit, JOMAC builds each cabinet individually, welds them together, and then wraps the side and top with aluminum diamond plate. This creates double thickness between cabinet walls and backs, significantly increasing strength and longevity.
Key construction details include:
- Double-wall cabinet construction where needed
- Quarter-inch aluminum cabinet tops and backs
- Stainless steel, rust-resistant hardware
- Automotive rubber ball door seals to keep weather and debris out
- Reinforced doors designed to support trays, parts bins, and can holders
- Modular Body design significantly adds lateral and longitudinal strength to the body

An all-steel sub-frame is the foundation of our mechanics truck bodies. This allows the integration of cranes, outriggers, and work benches without sacrificing the structural integrity of a lightweight aluminum truck body. Hydraulic out-and-down outriggers provide stability in the field, while reinforced cross members welded on 8-inch centers deliver exceptional structural strength.
Crane integration options include:
- Knuckle boom or telescoping cranes
- Lift capacities ranging from 18,000 ft-lb to 80,000 ft-lb
- Left- or right-side mounting
- Oversized machined chromed pins for extended service life on our knuckle boom cranes
