MECHANICS TRUCKS AND THE JOMAC ADVANTAGE BANNER

Not all mechanics truck bodies are built the same.

While some mass manufacturers will use brute force to produce as many truck bodies as possible in a day, the end-product will be the result of such lackluster manufacturing processes.

Mechanics truck bodies are built to serve function and purpose for the mechanic. They are meant to enhance the ability for the mechanic to perform the tasks essential to their job, and to do those tasks with ease and swift action.

Mechanics deserve a truck body that will allot them storage for a wide range of tools, but also one that will positively affect their bottom line when it comes time to figure profits at the end of the year.

Mass-produced, generic mechanics bodies serve some function to the worker they are designed for.

However, as each mechanic has different processes and procedures in how they approach specific jobs, a specially designed body would be an advantageous investment for them to consider when looking to  increase efficiency and positively affect their business in a sense of dollars and cents.

Enter JOMAC mechanics trucks.

Sub-frame construction

Jomac begins the mechanics truck manufacturing process by fabricating a steel sub-frame from which the mechanics body will be mounted on. This subframe is then wrapped in aluminum diamond plate to prevent the less-than-desirable aging process that steel is prone to (you know, rusting out and all that jazz).

The steel sub-frame allows for an all-aluminum truck body to maintain structural integrity for the most heavy-duty jobs imaginable, all while utilizing the benefits of aluminum and ultimately putting more money back in the mechanics pocket.

More on that below.

Mechanics trucks constructed from aluminum

It is imperative to consider the benefits of aluminum when seeking a mechanics truck body.

To begin, aluminum will invariably affect the fuel economy of the mechanics truck.

Studies have shown that aluminum truck bodies can reduce the cost of fuel per gallon by 29% for a service truck. To put into perspective what those figures look like over the course of a year, take a look at our post here about aluminum fuel economy.

With added fuel economy (and a lighter total truck weight), the mechanic also benefits from a higher payload capability. Pushing payloads to a higher max allows the mechanic greater flexibility when performing routine tasks, and also permits greater tool storage and capability.

Long-term savings is a huge factor when considering aluminum, as the lifecycle of the truck body is undeniably longer.

In fact, some mechanics truck manufactures will offer a lifetime warranty on aluminum truck bodies (we do that.)

Customize to optimize

As we mentioned previously, each mechanic has specific processes and workflow that are personalized. Additionally, every mechanic has, to some degree, a different set of tools that they use in a strategic order that is again, personalized.

We understand that, which is why we believe that every mechanics truck should be customized to some degree.

Whether that customization is through cabinet arrangement, roller drawer sizing, or a specific lighting configuration to let you work shine (pun intended), mechanics deserve to do things their way.

A mechanics truck that does not increase the productivity of the mechanic is not really serving its purpose.

At that point, it is just a truck body where you throw your tools and empty Gatorade bottles.

You shouldn’t have to dig around in a cabinet to find a tool because the drawer configuration doesn’t match how you perform your job.

At that point, you are working for your truck body; your truck body is not working for you.

That’s not a world you want to live in.

That’s why JOMAC allows mechanics to customize their truck bodies.

Make your mechanics truck body work for you.
