At JOMAC, we build service truck bodies spec’d to end-user guidelines, and built from the ground up at our Carrollton, OH headquarters.
For this truck body spotlight, we would like to highlight the work recently completed on a custom enclosed service body.
Complete with swing doors and a walk-in storage area, this truck was built with optimization and work flow efficiency at the forefront.
Mounted on a Chevy 3500 HD, this enclosed service body contains a through-body storage unit accessible from the outside of the service body, as well as plentiful shelving in the walk-in.
Storage
This enclosed service body contains swing-doors, opening to an inner service body housing three walls of shelving and storage.
Built from 5000 and 6000 series aluminum, the enclosed service body provides extra storage capacity due to its light weight design.
On the outer-area of the service body, there are four stand-alone cabinets (two curbside and two street side) as well as a through-body cabinet door, allowing for wide or long tools to be stored within the service body (but still accessible from the outside).
The cabinets on both sides of the truck closest to the truck cabinet feature dual swinging doors opening to fixed aluminum shelving units.
The rear cabinets offer one door and more aluminum shelving units fixed within the truck cabinet.
Flooring
The floor of the enclosed service body is completely covered with diamond plate, which runs the full length of the floor and continues along the outer cabinet parameter leading up to the shelving areas.
Additionally, a diamond plate wrapped entry-step allows for easy access without having to climb awkward distances vertically for entry and exit.
Cabinet Doors
The cabinet doors feature heavy-duty, locking T latches, as well as double-walled aluminum design for enhanced protection against potential damages.
The cab and rear cabinet doors feature pneumatic door closers for opening and closing simplicity.
The rear, swinging doors to the enclosed service body feature T-latches and pneumatic door closers as well, ensuring that your cargo stays safe and secured through transit.
