Flexible Mounting
A JOMAC service truck crane can be mounted almost anywhere on the body.
A-frame or H-frame outriggers may be required based on the mounting area.
Outriggers spread the load evenly depending on the crane mounting location. Our technical team will help optimize mounting for your safety and performance.
Service Truck Mounted Telescopic Cranes
Due to their versatility, JOMAC’s telescopic cranes are among the industry’s most popular models.
Our telescopic cranes range in lifting capacity from 5,000 to 14,000 pounds. Our 14,000-pound telescopic crane has the longest reach and lifting capacity available in a lighter weight package.
Telescoping Cranes For Military and DOD Applications
JOMAC continues to produce premium quality, built-to-spec telescoping cranes for military applications. We are privileged to provide customized, 100% USA engineered and manufactured crane solutions to the military.
We offer telescoping cranes for DOD and military applications that are built on a per project basis, providing comprehensive coverage for each critical specification.
JOMAC Telescopic Crane Advantages
JOMAC mobile cranes offer several advantages that have distinguished us as an industry leader in service truck crane manufacturing.
Mobile Crane Power Source
JOMAC telescopic service truck cranes are designed to be used with an open center hydraulic system when standard equipped.
The service truck crane power supply is typically a direct mounted pump and PTO for truck mounted crane applications, but other power supplies can be implemented for different mounting configurations.
Holding Valves
The base (extension) end of the telescopic crane lift and extension cylinders are equipped with pilot-operated counterbalance valves built into the cylinder.
The counterbalance valve offers a wealth of benefits to your telescopic crane including:
- Protection from boom collapse in the event of a hydraulic system failure or hose break
- Smooth lowering of the boom under a load
- Thermal relief to prevent excessive pressure build-up due to expansion of hydraulic oil
Winch System
The mobile crane winch is powered by a low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motor.
The winch motor is powered by a 38:1 ratio worm gear with a mechanical brake for load holding.
The telescopic crane winch system is equipped with 95 feet of 7/16” diameter wire rope. Additional standard features include a ball bearing swivel hook for single line use and a two-part line block.
Rotation Speed
Our telescopic cranes rotate on a turntable bearing, utilizing a low-speed, high-torque motor through a worm gearbox.
We implement a self-locking function to prevent rotation when not in operation.
Our continuous rotation design is engineered to permit fast boom movement to any rotational position with ease.
Overload Protection
Standard on every telescopic crane is an active overload protection system.
The system senses overload conditions and will prevent operation of the “boom extend” and “winch raise” functions, in the event of an overload.
The “boom retract” and “winch lower” functions remain working alleviate the crane of the overloaded weight.
When systems are within rating limits, the crane will reset to normal operating functions.
Controls
Our standard mobile crane control configuration is a hard-wired, remote pendant.
It provides an on/off operation of crane functions, with military spec sealed toggle and designed for reliable operation in harsh environments.
Additional Control Options
Our hard-wired remote pendant can be fixed with an index finger trigger actuator for true one handed control of all telescopic crane functions.
We also offer (as a custom option) a radio remote control for complete freedom of movement when operating your mobile crane. Our radio remote control is FCC approved and uses a multiple coding system to prevent any accidental operation.
